VIII Winter School of European Studies

On February 9-13, 2026 the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv hosted the VIII Winter School in European Studies, which was organized in the cooperation with the Ukrainian European Studies Association, the National University "Kyiv-Mohyla Academy" and the EU Information Center at Lviv University. The event was conducted in the online format and gathered over 50 attendees from Ukraine (Charkiv, Kherson, Dnipro, Kamyanets-Podilkyy, Kryvyy Rih, Kyiv, Khmelnytsyy, Odesa, Lviv, Poltava, Zaporizzhia, Sumy, Ternopil etc.) and abroad (Bulgaria, Switzerland). In the opening statement Prof. Markiyan Malskyy, dean of the Faculty of International Relations stressed the importance of academic support of the European integration of Ukraine.

The JMCE team members Oksana Holovko-Havrysheva, Oksana Krayevska, Mykhailo Mykievych and Vasyl Zelenko addressed in theit contributions legal and political dimensions of the EU functioning, policy-making in the EU as well as presented insights into the EU policies, e.g. EU Economic Policy, EU Social Policy, EU Regional Policy, EU Education Policy, EU Foreign Policy etc.
