On January 29, - February 2, 2023, the sixth WURCES/ESSIE WINTER SCHOOL IN EUROPEAN STUDIES was conducted in jointly with the Jean Monnet Center of Excellence «European Studies of Social Innovation in Education» from the Dragomanov Ukrainian State University. The event was organized within the framework of the realization of Jean Monnet project "European Studies of Social Innovation in Education" Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence ESSIE - 101085552 – ERASMUS)" (Coordinator - Dragomanov State University, Ukraine). The IV Winter School in European Studies focused on the EU Social Policy, policy-making standards in the EU and the cooperation between the EU and Ukraine in social matters. 560 applicants registered for the VI Winter School in European Studies and during its work more than 150 participants attended the event daily. The VI Winter School in European Studies included 2 workshops on EU Social and Cohesion Policy and evidence-based public policy making in the EU. At the VI Winter School in European Studies lectured 11 experts: 3 lecturers from the UK, Poland and Italy and 8 speakers were from Ukraine. The school gathered participants from Dnipro, Kyiv, Charkiv, Odesa, Lutsk, Lviv, Uman, Zaporiggia and other cities of Ukraine. The VI Winter School in European Studies was conducted in the cooperation with the Ukrainian European Studies Association, the EU Infromation Center at the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, the National University "Kyiv-Mohyla Academy" and with the support of National Erasmus+ Office Ukraine.
As speakers to the VI Winter School in European Studies acted from the IFNUL Oksana Holovko-Havrysheva, head of the JMCE WURCES, Oksana Krayevska, WURCES Senior Research Fellow, coordinator of the Jean Monnet Module: “EU Common Policies: Harmonization Strategies for Ukraine” (101047504 – EUCPASU – ERASMUS-JMO-2021-HEI-TCH-RSCH) and the IFNUL coordinator of the Erasmus+ project 101083077-UNICOM-ERASMUS-EDU-2022-CBHE "Universities-Communities: Strengthening Cooperation (UNICOM)", Halyna Kaplenko, head of the Department of Economics and Public Administration, the coordinator of the Jean Monnet Module “SDGs 4 EUROINTEGRATION OF UKRAINE” (101127537 – EI-SDGs4UA – ERASMUS-JMO-2023-HEI-TCH-RSCH), Vasyl Zelenko, WURCES Senior Research Fellow, associate professor at the Department of Economics and Public Administration and Marianna Gladysh, Associate Professor of International Security and Strategic Studies Department of Lviv University, head of the Nordic Center.
