Training visit to the Fachhochschule des Mittelstandes in Bielefeld

On October 28-31, 2024 Marianna Gladysh, Associate Professor of the Department of International Security and Strategic Studies at the Faculty of International Relations of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, visited the Fachhochschule des Mittelstandes in Bielefeld (Germany) as part of the Erasmus+ CA2 project “Universities-Communities: Strengthening Cooperation” (UNICOM).

Dr. Marianna Gladysh had the opportunity to get acquainted with the work of the University in the areas of the third mission, particularly with the peculiarities of cooperation with communities and businesses. The project coordinator at the University, Professor Rolf Jürgen Treidel, presented information about the Fachhochschule des Mittelstandes in Bielefeld and the main areas of implementation of the University's third mission. Friedel Heuwinkel and Elisa Goldman spoke about cooperation with municipalities and communities for regional development in innovative areas. The training program participants visited the Bielefeld City Council, where the main areas of the Bielefeld City Council's work were presented, focusing on diverse aspects of cooperation with other cities. As part of the visit, the participants also joined the seminar “Improving Hybrid Learning in Higher Education through Chatbots”. As part of the training program, the participants visited the City of Open Innovations Center, which was founded with the assistance of the University.
