I EUCPASU CERTIFICATE PROGRAM ON EU COMMON POLICES AND THEIR IMPLICATIONS FOR UKRAINE

From December 5 to 9, 2022, a Certificate Program on the topic "EU Common Policies: Experience for Ukraine" was held in online format on the Teams platform. Despite the war and air alarms/raid, as well as constant power outages and the lack of the Internet, the project executors managed to complete all the tasks and conduct the program on schedule according to the plan, covering such topics as concepts and principles of EU public policy, EU economic policies, sectoral EU policies, EU foreign policy and relations between Ukraine and the EU.

LEARNING WITH THE EUCPASU PROJECT HOW THE EU INSTITU-TIONS FUNCTION - THE EUROPEAN COUNCIL MODEL

The first simulation game "Simulation Model of the European Council" was successfully held in November 2022. The purpose of this event was to combine the knowledge and competence of students of the Faculty of International Relations and students of the Faculty of Finance Management and Business in order to exchange experience and jointly organize a meeting of the European Council. Due to organizational restrictions the events were held remotely.

Thus at the first stage of work (November 17, 2022), the students of the Faculty of International Relations shared knowledge about the work of the official institution of the EU - the European Council. Features, purpose, main functions and principles of work of this institution were presented. Particular attention was paid to the consideration of evolutionary development and the protocols of the meetings of the European Council. The second meeting took place on December 1, 2022, at which each of the pairs of EU member-states representatives actively proved their position regarding support for Ukraine, taking into account the state interests of the selected EU Member States.

EUCPASU POSTER COMPETI-TION 2022 RESULTS IN THE EXHIBITION OF THE WINNERS WORKS AT THE LVIV UNIVERSITY

On November 2, 2022, an exhibition of posters - student works on the topic "Education Policy: Ukraine and the EU" was opened in the main building of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv. The exhibition was organized as part of the implementation of the Jean Monet Module "EU Common Policies: Alingment Strategies for Ukraine" (EUCPASU) and dedicated to the celebration of the University Day. The poster competition was held in the spring of 2022 among students of the Faculty of Journalism. 22 creative works were submitted for review by the jury. Competition participants presented their vision of educational policy in Ukraine and the process of its integration into the educational process of the European Union. The works of the winners of the competition were presented for viewing in the hall of the main building of the University.

EUCPASU WORKSHOP ON EU MIGRATION POLICY

On October 20, 2022, the first workshop of the project "EU MIGRATION POLICY: THREATS AND PROSPECTS FOR UKRAINE" took place. The event was held online on the MS Teams platform within the special session of the XV Congress of the Ukrainian Association of European Studies, during which the EU's response to Russia's war against Ukraine was discussed. During the workshop special attention was paid to the discussion of migration issues and contemporary challenges in cooperation between the EU and Ukraine in this area. The presented topics were actively discussed by the participants, who also agreed that such scientific discussions should be held on a regular basis to expand the circle of interested scientists and establish contacts and form international research networks.

EUCPASU WORKSHOP ON BEST PRACTICES IN RESERACH AND TEACHING OF EUROPEAN STUDIES

On June 9, 2022, the workshop on "The best practices in research and teaching European studies: Ukrainian and international experience" was held online on the GoogleMeet platform at the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv. The event was organized by the Jean Monnet Center of Excellence "Western Ukrainian Research Center for European Studies" in cooperation with the National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine, the Ukrainian Association of European Studies and the National University "Kyiv-Mohyla Academy" with the support of the EU Information Center. In the workshop the representatives of the EACEA, NEO Ukraine and partner institutions from Ukraine and the EU discussed challenges of research and teaching of European Studies and impact the war causes.

On February 2, 2022, the kick-off meeting of the EUCPASU project was held at the Faculty of International Relations of Ivan Franko Lviv National University under the direction of the Jean Monnet Module "EU Common Policies: Alignment Strategies for Ukraine" (EUCPASU) 101047504 - EUCPASU - ERASMUS-JMO-2021-HEI- TCH-RSCH. Given the quarantine restrictions, the event was held in a mixed format, and therefore most participants joined the event online using the MS Teams platform.
