Conference "IMPLEMENTATION OF THE EU-UKRAINE ASSOCIATION AGREEMENT: SELECTED POLICIES"

On March 6, 2024 the Faculty of International Relations of the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv hosted the conference "IMPLEMENTATION OF THE EU-UKRAINE ASSOCIATION AGREEMENT: SELECTED POLICIES". The event was conducted in hybrid format and gathered more than 150 participants and speakers from Lviv, Kyiv, Rivne and other cities of Ukraine. The challenges on Ukraine's road to the full-fledged EU membership were discussed with Taras Kachka (Ministry of Economy of Ukraine), Roman Petrov (National University "Kyiv-Mohyla Academy", Mykhailo Mykievych (Ivan Franko National University of Lviv) and Bogdan Veselovskyy (Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv).

The panel sessions addressed such topics as "Good Governance in Comparative; Perspective: Mutual Lessons for the EU and Ukraine", "Policy Developmennt and External Dimension of the EU Policies" and "Ensuring resilience in Ukraine and the EU". The panel sessions addressed diverse aspects of the EU policies, e.g. EU Climate Policy (Petro Skrypchuk, National University of Water and Environmental Engineering), Statistics, especially local statistics (Olha Hrynkevych, Ivan Franko National University of Lviv), EU Cultural Policy (Olha Sereda, Ivan Franko National University of Lviv), EU cooperation with religious entities (Juliya Korniychuk, Warsaw University, Indiana University of Bloomington), EU Social Policy (Vasyl Zeleko, Ivan Franko National University of Lviv) and others.

The event was organized with the support of the National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine and in cooperation with the EU Information Center at the Lviv University, the Department of European and Regional Studies as well as the European Law Department of the Faculty of International Relations of the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv. 

Upon the results of the conference a collective monograph in Ukrainian language is planned. The requirements for the publication in the monograph are below:
