ACEEU Triple Award Competition 2025

Ivan Franko National University of Lviv has reached the finals of the prestigious Triple E Awards 2025 international competition in the special category “Initiative to Engage the Public in Ukraine,” organized by the Accreditation Council for Entrepreneurial and Engaged Universities (ACEEU). Being an important recognition of universities' efforts in developing entrepreneurship, community engagement, and implementing the “third mission,” this award emphasizes active role of HEIs in the life of communities and regional ecosystems. The competition is global in nature, and Ukrainian higher education institutions are participating in it for the second time. Winners are determined based on expert evaluation and electronic voting by the public.

Lviv University submitted the project “Reintegration of Veterans into Community Life” to the competition, which is being implemented by the Center for Veterans Support and Social Initiatives (headed by Yaryna Tanchak) as part of the Erasmus+ KA2 UNICOM project “University-Communities: Strengthening Cooperation.” and the university-led initiative aimed to help the community, the combatants and their family members to return to civil life. The award ceremony took place on September 11, 2025, in Prague (Czech Republic). It was attended by the finalists of the competition – representatives of Ukrainian universities participating in the international Erasmus+ KA2 UNICOM project together with the coordinator – the University of Genoa (Italy). Lviv University was represented at the ceremony by the administrative coordinator of the UNICOM project, acting head of the Department of European and Regional Studies of the Faculty of International Relations Oksana Kraievska, and head of the Center for Veterans Support and Social Initiatives Yaryna Tanchak.

The award is a testament to the fruitful work of the project team in the field of entrepreneurship and community engagement, and will also contribute to the dissemination of UNICOM's results to a wider audience.
